<---- set of custom coffin shaped press on nails ready to go
My story,
My story,
I am delighted to say that I have not worked a day in 30 years*. At least not in the conventional sense. As you will learn, I actually work very hard, I just enjoy it thoroughly. This is not my hobby. It is my career. My avocation if you will. I have been a full time nail tech non stop from the moment I received my first license in 1983. I have actively participated in my profession in the salon, on the internet, at trade shows, magazine article assistance and through private classes.

From the very first hour spent in Beauty School I knew that I had found my calling; I was forever meant to be a manicurist, nail tech, nail pro, nail artist, pedicurist, finger and toe specialist. Call it whatever you want; I was home, I had found my calling, my niche in life! I had found something that I not only loved to do but that I excelled at better than most. Yes, it was a long time ago, the nail biz was an infant industry and so many of the techs weilding a brush nowadays are so extremely talented it makes my head swoon just trying to keep up with them!
Many moons ago I was that kid who sat on the bench during recess drawing pictures of horses. I couldn't decide if I wanted to be a doctor, a veterinarian or an artist. Well, I wasn't brilliant enough to be a vet or a doctor so I decided to be a nurse. After a few years I realized that was not the best fit so I screwed up my courage and enrolled in beauty school. It was the perfect fit! My love of science and medicine perfectly complemented the art and science of nails. This is a career that offers me instant gratification from seeing how what I have done impacts another human being, it challenges me on a daily basis and enables me to support my family (as a single Mom, that is very important). I have truly been blessed and I thank the powers that be everyday.

My salon is based on the belief that the customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Providing a fabulous service is not only a priority, it is my passion. Every set of nails and every pedicure is done exactly the way I would want them performed for me if I was the customer and I am the pickiest customer on the planet.
For over 30 years I have been committed to meeting my clients' needs utilizing the highest quality products available backed up by consistent continuing education. This is one old dog who is always ready to learn some new tricks! I attend trade shows, take classes and network with nailtechs around the world to keep abreast of thelatest innovations in the industry, then share what I learn with my clients.
I have taken advanced education classes and have used Creative Nail Design products since 1981. CND (Creative Nail Design) was founded on imagination and solid chemistry and is dedicated to providing state of the art products backed by phenomenal education with an emphasis on maintaining and promoting proper nail health and safety. Things I believe in also. I took my first Creative class in May of 1983 and received my Master Certification for Acrylic Nails from Creative Nail Design in 1997. In 2000 I added their spa pedicure line to my repertoire. In 2002 I received my Masters Certification from Creative Nail Design for Brisa Gels. In 2011 I took the Master Painter Class which emphasized colors and effects and the amazing Shellac Power Polish.

Since 1995 I have been quoted in and consulted for numerous articles in professional trade publications such as Nails Magazine and Nail Pro here in the United States in addition to Scratch magazine in Great Britain. My airbrush nail art was published in the trade publication Nails Magazine. Summer of 1999 I had the opportunity to judge a sculptured nail competition at the largest hair and nail show in the country; the Premiere Show in Orlando, Florida. At that same show I was head judge for the nail art competition. What fun to rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in my industry! If you have ever been to a trade show you know that rubbing shoulders is not all that gets rubbed on the crowded show room floor.
In 2000 I seized the opportunity to fulfill one of my life long career goals of owning my own full service salon and day spa. Owning a salon was an amazing adventure that lasted 7 1/2 years. Thank you to all the talented and incredible men and women I was honored to work with those wonderful years. To be a part of helping newbies grow as salon professionals was very good for my soul and a wonderful experience for my family and me. Thank you to the community that embraced Illusions Salon and helped to make it such a rewarding endeavor. We truly were the neighborhood salon.

You will be seeing me in my new mini salon located within Salon Boutique. Salon Boutique is one of those newfangled beauty malls that seem to be popping up everywhere. The difference being that I truly believe this one represents the best that the new malls have to offer. With 44 private suites anything and everything found in a conventional salon can be found here: hair, nails, pedicures, facials, body wraps, micro-dermabrasion, tattoos, permanent makeup, eyelash extensions, gift items and even tattoo removal!

I believe that everyone deserves fabulous fingers and toes and that together we can help you look better, feel better and have more confidence!
I promise you 5 things: 1) Consistent quality that you can count on means nails done right first time and every time. 2) I won't pretty up the truth; I do not give false compliments or play down a bad situation. 3) I will never cut corners to save money that will in any way jeopardize the quality or integrity of any service I perform. 4) I will always act in the best interest of your nails. 5) I will always respect your time; please respect mine.
I welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.
